Our Story

The Sederan Empire consisted of a four-island atoll in the Unending Sea. Each of the three smaller islands (Auxesia, Cletia and Phaenna -- also known as The Sisters) were ruled by mostly-autonomous sovereigns, overseen by the High King or High Queen who resided on the main island of Gerydon.

The founding of the Sederan Empire stretched back beyond antiquity, and how long exactly they have stood has been lost to time. In the Draganic Faith (the most prevalent faith of the Sederan Empire), it is believed that the islands were created by the Three-Headed Dragon.

During the Great Upheaval of 704, the Sisters abruptly flooded and then sank beneath the waters of the Unending Sea. Most of the Sederan people were lost, and very little of the Sisters remained inhabitable.

As such, High Queen Edain decreed that all surviving Sederan citizens and nobles should make haste for Gerydon, where they were offered safe haven. With the Sisters unsafe for habitation, the High Queen divided up Gerydon -- she and her clan would keep the city of Ptah and the lands west of the Firerun River. The rest of the island, she divided up into three Realms and gave one to each Kingdom, including the lands and peoples residing there.

So now does the Rebuilding go on, as the Kingdoms resettle their Realms and divide them further amongst their own vassals.
