Lord Gradam of Clan Sceda

With his red hair and beard blending together, Gradam has a rugged, earthy allure and angular features, presumably from his life spent outdoors. Despite his noble heritage, he prefers simple and practical clothing. He naturally possesses an unassuming aura of simplicity and understated grandeur. Gradam has a deeply tanned skin tone, a result of spending numerous hours in the sun and a large nose, with a slight crook, which denotes his strength of character and determined nature to do what is right and just.

Gradam, unlike many of his noble peers, was an honest and hardworking lord who preferred the company of peasants to that of his fellow nobles. He spent most of his time working alongside the people on his land, helping them with tasks such as making ale, for which his lands were renowned. At a time when those of noble birth considered themselves above the common folk, Gradam was known for his humility and willingness to work hard. His dedication to the people under his care earned him great respect and admiration, and his example served as an inspiration to many.

Gradam had never aspired to rule. However, with the Flood, his clan experienced considerable losses, and Gradam became the unexpected successor. Unprepared and overwhelmed, he recognized that he did not have the inclination nor the skills needed to lead his clan effectively. At the same time, Gradam understood that he had a responsibility to his people. His love for his community drove him; he would only take over if it was in the interest of the clan's welfare. Despite his fear and reservations, Gradam knew that he would do everything in his power to serve his people well and lead them to prosperity. But he really hopes that his Cousin Aelon will have some babies and put him out of the running.
