The worrywart.
- Description
-
Owayne, a young man tormented by his inner demons, wears his hair long and disheveled, and his beard is thin and scraggly. Despite his ancestral lineage and high honor, he looks misplaced in the grand halls of his castle, appearing anxious and nervous, as if sensing an imminent catastrophe. The worry lines set deep in his brow, and his troubled eyes portray an all-consuming burden.
In brief moments of tranquility, he cannot quell his nervous tics, nervously pacing back and forth with his hands wringing, suggesting his feeble emotional state and suggestible demeanor.
- Before the Flood
-
Owayne grew up in a kingdom that prized strength and valor above everything else. He was born into a family whose livelihood depended on vineyards and lumber, making him feel like an outsider in the warrior culture that surrounded him. Owayne's worries were constant, as he was always anxious about everything. The constant state of danger in his surroundings only made his anxiety worse. To him, the battles and wars raging around him made his family's business ventures seem trivial in comparison. Though he enjoyed a great deal of success, his insecurity and self-doubt never left him, leaving him in a constant state of restlessness and unease.
- After the Flood
-
The Flood had destroyed everything Owayne's county had built over generations. Their fertile lands were now buried beneath the sea, leaving behind a trail of destruction and death. Owayne's family and his people had lost everything they had - their crops, their homes, and their livelihoods. The county was now forced to resort to scavenging for survival, and this weighed heavily on Owayne. His worries had increased tenfold since the Flood, and he feared for the sake of his people. Their survival was now at stake, and he had never felt so helpless and powerless before in his life.
