Before the Flood

Freddred was a young noble lord, who was only a distant relation to the Countess. Despite his tenuous connection to the ruling family, he led a peaceful life that he cherished. His clan was not wealthy, but they were able to make a comfortable income by growing bright flowers, something that brought him great joy. Freddred was content to stay out of the political wrangling that often came with court life, and instead, focused his efforts on learning about the flowers his family grew. He became an expert in the field, with an encyclopedic knowledge of every bloom grown on his clan's land. Though he was not a wealthy man, Freddred was rich in passion and fulfilled by the simple things that gave him pleasure.

After the Flood

Freddred lost so much in the devastating Floods. His clan suffered heavy losses, leaving him as one of the few remaining members. Tragically, many of those who perished were close relatives, and he now found himself in the unexpected position of being next in the line of succession. The weight of responsibility that came with his new title was immense, but Freddred was determined to do right by his people. As he mourned the loss of his loved ones, he was also concerned about his cousin, the Countess's wellbeing. He knew her heart was heavy with grief and wanted to help her move past it. He believed that if he could help her find love, she could find happiness and possibly even have a child who could become the next ruler. It was a daunting task, but Freddred was up for it, armed with the knowledge that his duty to his clan was first and foremost.
