Ione

Ione was a playful young lady from a noble household, destined to rule after her aunt, the Countess. She struggled with taking boring lessons seriously, while knowing that one day she would have to take the reins of leadership. Ione's land grew sugar, which was unusual in a kingdom that obsessed over soldiers and knights. Consequently, she often felt like an outsider in pretentious circles that tended to overlook her land's unique contribution. Nevertheless, Ione took pride in her family's heritage and aimed to lead with wisdom and grace, even though it meant enduring mundane tasks along the way.

Ione's life took a tragic turn when her aunt, the Countess, died in the Flood. The calamitous event also ruined their sugar crops, which had been their main source of sustenance and wealth. Ione and her people had no choice but to move to a different part of the kingdom, where they had to start from scratch. The young lady suddenly found herself thrust into the role of the next Countess, feeling overwhelmed by the burden of her new responsibilities. Despite her best efforts, Ione has confided in others, telling them she doesn't know what she's doing. She hopes to find her footing soon and lead her people to a brighter future.
